Its Been A Good Summer

It has been very rewarding to see the groups come in this summer. Our hopes and prayers have been that we would see lots of both young and not so young people using Camp JOY. And these hopes have been realized this summer. There have been several camps, reunions, picnics and other activities going on this summer and its been prayers answered to see the camp becoming a reality.

The feed back has been very positive. With only a few minor repairs every thing has gone on without a hitch. And we areare looking forward to a end of summer and fall with the same success.

Plans are on the table for improvements to be done this fall and winter and next year we will be even better.

Thank you for your prayers.

If you've been wondering how you can help Camp JOY, here's a way.

We have started a fund-raiser, of selling memorial bricks. These bricks will be used in an area that will be use as a gathering area, a class area, also an area for a campfire, and our main devotional area. The layout of this area will allow for future growth and additional bricks to be added in the future. The bricks will be inscribed with your inscription of 3 lines with up to 18 characters per line on the 4X8 brick, or 4 lines with 18 characters per line on the 8X8 brick.
The construction for this area will begin soon.
The proceeds from the sale of these bricks will go toward the cost of installing our sewer and septic system.

We have anxiously looked forward to this summer for a long time. Over the past years as we worked to complete various projects, we could only imagine numbers of  campers both young and not so young scattered around some in class, some  playing games and some just enjoying the day. But now, its real.

There have already been some camps, some family reunions, a couple of retreats and other gatherings. And things went real well. And now we are ready for your activity.

We are still adding to Camp JOY, and we will be for quite some time. But now we invite you to come and check us out. We can accommodate 80 persons now and soon we will be able to accommodate 100.
