Jesus First, Others Second and Yourself Last

Our Commitment

In the few years that Camp JOY has been in existence our mission has not changed. We are still committed to building a camp facility that will serve this areas Churches of Christ by providing a place for their youth camps, retreats, picnics, singings and other gatherings. But our main focus is on developing a youth camp that will enable the training of our youth in a better understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

As a nonprofit organization we are depending completely on the contributions and donations from individuals in the surrounding area. Also various businesses in the area, by either a gift or making significant discounts available on merchandise and materials. Any donations made to Camp JOY is tax deductible since we are a 501c-3 organization.

During our workdays, which is the first Saturday of every month, we work on various parts of the camp. Depending on the weather, sometimes there may only be a few workers, or there may be several. We always have a good time in wholesome fellowship while working and also during the meals the we share that are provided by various congregations in the area. These workdays are an excellent time to come by and see how things are going, ask questions or to share your ideas.

Even though things are progressing, we still need your help. We need your financial support to continue this project. Once we are in operation our plan is to be self-sufficient, but until then we have to cover the cost of the installation of utilities, engineering and construction of the sewer and septic system, equipment, road improvements, payment on the land and etc. There are many ways that you can help, one could be a direct donation, finance a cabin or some other structure built in your families name, donation toward other expenses in the construction of the camp or a donation in memorial of a family member.
If you would like to learn more please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to meet with you, family members, business meetings or whoever.

As always we sincerely request your prayers and your support.
